Are you thinking of selling your home?
Take the opportunity to refresh all surfaces with ozone. Bad odors disappear in just a few hours, and your home will smell like new before the sale.
– The value of the house clearly increased, says Staffan Johansson, who used Ozoneair for remediation.

Does your home smell musty and moldy, but you can't find any mold?
It might be a wood preservative emitting a pungent odor.
Staffan Johansson and his then-partner bought a farm in Eskilstuna about ten years ago. The residential house, approximately 70 square meters, was built in the 1960s, a time when the wood preservative pentachlorophenol was sometimes used in house construction. Pentachlorophenol in pressure-treated wood was later banned in 1978.
– We immediately noticed a bad smell, like mold but more pungent, Staffan recounts.
But Staffan, who works in the construction industry, expected to be able to get rid of the smell.
– The stench came from pressure-treated timber in the crawl space, which I replaced over the years. But the smell had permeated the house and wouldn't go away.
Unique machine removes odors
In the summer, they could air out the house and leave windows open, but when autumn brought cold and humidity, the smell worsened.
Two years ago, Staffan heard about the Swedish innovation Ozoneair, a unique machine that converts oxygen in the air into ozone.
Ozone is a reactive gas, also known as active oxygen, which effectively removes odors. It penetrates into nooks and crannies and superficially into materials like textiles, furniture, floors, and walls.
– The machine is incredibly simple; you plug it into a power outlet and start it. While it's working, you should not be indoors. And finally, the smell disappeared! I've been using the machine regularly for the past two years; it can be used for about 1000 treatments.
3000 times more effective than chlorine
Ozone technology has long been used to purify water and kill bacteria and viruses in textiles in healthcare. Since the 1970s, remediation companies have used ozone to sanitize homes and premises from fire, tobacco smoke, mold, and other odors.
Thanks to Ozoneair, private individuals can remediate their homes with ozone, without any prior knowledge.
– Ozone is 3,000 times more effective than chlorine at removing bad odors, explains Johan Lundberg, founder of Ozoneair, a tech company based in Luleå.
Increased the value of the house
When the house was to be sold, Staffan was particularly pleased that he had found Ozoneair.
– Of course, it increased the value of the house. The air and smell indoors are completely different now. I also advised the new owner to get an Ozoneair if the smell ever returned.
