But which machine should I choose? That's one of the most common questions about Ozoneair.

Perfect for boats or cars

If the odor problem is concentrated in a smaller space – such as a single room, a boat, or a car – then a smaller machine is sufficient. The smallest model, Ozoneair GO, treats areas up to approximately 30 m2.

Start with the house's largest room

Do you have an odor throughout the house, or in a large attic or basement?

To make the treatment as smooth as possible, you should choose a machine that can at least handle the home's largest open area. If you have an open-plan layout, it's usually the kitchen, living room, and hallway that are connected.

If the area is less than 60 m2, the medium-sized model Ozoneair PLUS is sufficient. But if it's larger than 60 m2, you should choose the largest model, Ozoneair PRO, which sanitizes areas up to 120 m2.

Here's how to sanitize:

• Move flowers and other plants out of the room to be sanitized. Open closet doors where you store clothes, textiles, and anything else you want to freshen up – the ozone also cleans materials. Close windows and doors.
• Connect Ozoneair to a standard power outlet and enter the room's area using a dial. Then press the start button.
• The machine is fully automatic. While it's working – usually 2-6 hours – you should not be in the room. Pets should also not be in the room as inhaling ozone is harmful.
• Two hours after the treatment is complete, you can re-enter the space. By then, all ozone molecules will have broken down into regular oxygen. Ventilate; there might be a slight smell from the ozone treatment afterwards.
• Sometimes, you may need to repeat the treatment a few times.

The whole house or room by room?

So, what's best – sanitizing the whole house at once, or room by room?
– Both methods have their advantages. Sanitizing the whole house is practical: You only need to be away from the house once, then the treatment is done. It can also be beneficial if you've been affected by mold. In that case, all mold spores are killed, and the risk of them spreading between rooms is minimized.

– If you treat individual rooms, the treatment time will be shorter, and you can choose when it's best to tackle the next room. Another advantage is that you can move flowers to an adjacent room, avoiding the need to take them outside.

Lasts for 1000 treatments

Johan Lundberg:
– Remember to "seal" the space as thoroughly as possible. Close windows and doors, and preferably tape around door frames and window frames. If ozone seeps out of the room, the treatment will not be as effective.

How many times can I sanitize with the machine?
– It lasts for about 1000 treatments, equivalent to 4000 operating hours. The two largest models are also refillable; you can purchase new oxygen plates.
