General questions about Wash

Both products are textile cleaners designed for stain removal and cleaning of small areas on household fabrics, such as carpets, upholstery, car interiors, and other textiles that can withstand moisture.

They work with a combination of:

  • Water application
  • Suction function (wet vacuuming)
  • Steam (Wash Steam only)

Wash Base uses water and suction, while Wash Steam uses both water, suction, and steam for deeper and more flexible cleaning.

They work on most household fabrics that tolerate moisture, such as:

  • carpets and rugs
  • sofas, armchairs, and chair cushions
  • car upholstery and stroller fabric
  • mattresses
  • dog beds and textile pet accessories

Tip: Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

Most stains can be reduced or completely removed, such as:

  • food and beverage stains
  • soil and mud
  • urine and pet stains
  • coffee, tea, wine
  • sweat and body oils

More stubborn stains like old red wine stains or permanent marker may require the use of the textile detergent Care.

Steam has three major advantages:

  • It dissolves grease much better
  • It penetrates deeper into the fabric
  • It neutralizes odors and kills bacteria

Therefore, textile washes with steam are more effective for:

  • pet stains
  • ingrained stains
  • odor problems
  • deep cleaning of mattresses and sofas

Wash Base is the simpler model and uses water and suction to remove stains. It works well for general cleaning of sofas, carpets, and other textiles, but lacks steam and therefore has limited effect on deeper dirt and odors.

Wash Steam is the more powerful variant. It has water, suction, and also a steam function up to 90°C, which makes it much better at dissolving grease, lifting ingrained stains, and neutralizing odors and bacteria. It can also pre-treat surfaces with steam only.

In short:

  • Wash Base = good for everyday cleaning
  • Wash Steam = very effective for tougher stains, deeper cleaning, and odor removal

Choose Wash Base if you:

  • occasionally want to clean small stains
  • primarily clean sofas, carpets, and furniture
  • do not need steam
  • want a simpler, more compact model
  • Perfect for everyday stains and quick cleaning.

Choose Wash Steam if you:

  • want to be able to remove deeper and more ingrained stains
  • need steam to remove grease, odor, and bacteria
  • have children or pets
  • want the best possible cleaning results at home
  • Perfect for families, pet owners, and allergy sufferers.

After each use, you should:

  • empty both tanks
  • clean the nozzle
  • allow the machine to dry
  • coil the cable and hose
  • store the machine in a dry and frost-free place

If water is left behind, it can cause:

  • odor problems
  • bacterial growth
  • damage to the water lines

The Technology

Bubbelit™” is a cleaning technique where the machine generates microbubbles + water (and steam for some models) that penetrate the textile fibers. The bubbles help to lift dirt from deep within the fabric — not just superficially — after which the machine sucks up the dirty water.

  • Because the micro-bubbles penetrate the fibers, you get a deeper clean than with regular water + suction.
  • This means that ingrained stains, deep dirt, and particles are removed more effectively than with traditional surface cleaning.
  • If the model has steam (e.g., with one of the model variants), it provides additional cleaning power against grease, odors, and bacteria.

A product with Bubbelit™ technology provides a deeper and more effective cleaning than traditional textile washes. The microbubbles penetrate the fibers and lift dirt that regular water cannot reach, giving you a cleaner result with less effort. The technology also works completely without chemicals, making it gentle on textiles, the environment, and the indoor climate of your home. Bubbelit™ is therefore perfect for those who want professional cleaning at home, avoid dry cleaning, and remove stains, odors, and ingrained dirt in a smarter way.

  • Accidents and spills (e.g. coffee, wine, food) – works quickly and effectively.
  • Cleaning furniture, car seats, mattresses, curtains etc. without having to remove and wash them.
  • Homes with children or pets – as cleaning is gentle and chemical-free.
  • For those who want to avoid dry cleaning but still achieve a clean and fresh result at home.

Usage and Maintenance

  1. Fill the clean water tank and put it back properly.
  2. Place the machine on a flat surface with airflow underneath (the exhaust must not be covered).
  3. Press the power button on the machine.
  4. The display will light up and go to standard mode (Low or Low Temp).
  5. Start the treatment by pressing the on/off button on the handle – this activates the suction function.
  6. Press the water button (or the water/steam button on Wash Steam) to start applying water or steam.
  7. Turn off the water/steam and continue to suck up the dirty water until the surface is as dry as possible.

Note that it takes a few seconds for the machine to stop water/steam as the hose needs to be emptied.

Always use pure water with no additives.

  • Max temperature: 40°C
  • No chemicals, perfumes, detergents, or descaling agents may be mixed in.

Using the wrong type of water can:

  • clog nozzles
  • damage the water indicator
  • affect the heating function (applies to Steam)

No. Only Ozoneair's cleaning agent should be used. It should also not be poured into the clean water tank, but applied directly to the stain before treatment.

The warranty does not apply if other agents are used, as incorrect products can:

  • produce too much foam
  • damage the machine's components
  • clog hoses and nozzles

It is important to empty the drip tray after each use to prevent bacterial growth and unpleasant odors.

  1. Remove the drip tray.
  2. Empty the water through the two outlets.
  3. Open the knob and unscrew the water indicator.
  4. Clean the rubber gasket and indicator thoroughly with clean water.
  5. Allow everything to dry before reassembly.
  6. If the full tank symbol is displayed even though it is empty, the tank and the metal plate on the machine must be cleaned again.
  1. Press the release button and remove the nozzle from the handle.
  2. Remove the plastic cover.
  3. Wipe the nozzle and rinse the plastic cover.
  4. Clean the water holes with the included tool if the jets are irregular or missing.
  5. Reassemble everything once completely dry.

Wash Steam has an automatic system that tells you when the machine needs descaling. Here's how it works:

When the symbol lights up

  • You can continue to use the machine for another 5 hours.
  • The symbol is visible at startup but disappears during program selection.

After 5 hours

  • Only the descaling symbol is displayed.
  • The machine cannot be used until descaling is complete.

How to descale

  1. Turn off, unplug.
  2. Mix citric acid + water in a 1:20 ratio in the clean water tank.
  3. Place the handle pointing down into a sink (to let the liquid drain out).
  4. Start the machine – only the descaling symbol should be displayed.
  5. Press the on/off button on the handle.
  6. The process takes approximately 50 minutes.
  7. If the water runs out, a symbol will appear – refill and continue.
  8. When descaling is complete, the symbol will turn off.

No. Both machines are only intended for indoor use and must not be exposed to rain, cold, heat, or external influences.
