Ozone treatment quickly and effectively removes odors from impregnating agents, even those containing pentachlorophenol, which is now banned. Many houses built during the 60s and 70s were treated with pentachlorophenol, which can emit a strong odor when it breaks down. This process forms chloroanisoles, which are harmful to health and can cause allergy and asthma symptoms.
Sometimes more than one treatment is required to eliminate the odor, but once it's gone, the result is permanent.
Ozone treatments take between 1 and 12 hours, depending on the size of the area to be treated. If it is an entire house or a very large area to be treated, it can be divided and treated in stages.
